LAMpASOral Talks LAMpAS H2020 Project in focus at EPIC Meeting on Surface Structuring at Laser World of Photonics

LAMpAS H2020 Project in focus at EPIC Meeting on Surface Structuring at Laser World of Photonics

LAMpAS H2020 Project was presented at the EPIC Meeting on Surface Structuring at Laser World of Photonics on 27 June 2019 in Munich, Germany. Network with top industry leaders as they discussed the key advantages that the technology brings to the industry. The ever-evolving precise nature of photonics enables microscopic surface structuring on everyday materials. In turn, this enables new macroscopic features of materials such as hydrophobicity, hydrophilicity, friction-reduction, anti-bacterial qualities and other unique possibilities. The laser source, beam delivery and material are all vital parts of the surface structuring process, and these will be discussed at this meeting.

Prof. Andres Lasagni, Coordinator of LAMpAS H2020 Project and professor of TU Dresden talked about laser processing strategies for high-throughput low cost production of surfaces. Presentations and talks were also led by LAMpAS Partners such as LASEA (BELGIUM), New Infrared Technologies (SPAIN), Next Scan Technology (THE NETHERLANDS). The meeting was a great platform for members to network, collaborate and learn in the field of surface structuring processes.

LAMpAS is a research and innovation project funded by Horizon 2020 European program, in a Public-Private Partnership with Photonics21.

The event is free of charge, but pre-registration is required. Find out more information on the meeting here: https://www.epic-assoc.com/epic-meeting-on-surface-structuring-at-laser-world-of-photonics/
